Many parents wonder what is best for their children's education: investing in full-time bilingual education at school, or taking English classes apart in an English School. After all, what's more worth it?

Colégio Aurum believes that becoming bilingual goes far beyond English classes. Therefore, since Kindergarten, a good part of the school curriculum is devoted to classes and experiences in the second language. Thus, from an early age, children get used to listening, speaking, reading, writing and communicating in English naturally.

In Early Childhood Education, 80% of the time spent at school is dedicated to immersing students in English-language communication situations. In the early years of Elementary School, immersion in the second language occupies 60% of the communication time in the school routine, while in the final years of Elementary School, the student has in his planning the dedication of 50% of the time to the English language, to maintain fluency acquired so far.

What does that mean?

Unlike an English class at a language school, teaching English at Aurum takes place at all times and in an interdisciplinary way.

In this way, it is much easier for the student to acquire fluency, proximity to the language and the ability to communicate.

The sooner the contact with a second language happens, the more peaceful and lasting your learning will be.

Children who learn a second language in childhood have demonstrated better performance on standardized tests, which makes sense when we consider how much time they have spent cultivating their thought patterns.

Being able to speak another language is not just linguistic – the cognitive benefits extend to all learning areas.

Another relevant difference is the economic and logistical practicality for parents: in just one place, students have access to everything they need to learn and develop in an increasingly connected and constantly changing world.
